Quand Blogger joue des tours à ses clients

Blogger est la plateforme logicielle, propriété de Google, qui sert notamment à éditer des blogs, dont celui que vous êtes en train de lire (pauvres de vous)

Les tekos (ou techies en anglais) de Blogger ont effectué dernièrement ce qu'ils appellent un nettoyage de printemps (It’s spring cleaning time for Blogger) en ajoutant des fonctionnalités et en en retirant d'autres (comme les sondages ou la possibilité de naviguer vers un autre blog au hasard...), fort bien, pas de souci avec ça, faut bien changer un peu de temps en temps et faire évoluer le bouzin.

Le problème, car il y en a un, c'est que maintenant on ne reçoit plus les notifications de commentaires sur la messagerie que l'on a paramétrée, exemples :

A mon avis cette personne n'a pas dû remarquer qu'elle a quand même des commentaires, mais qu'elle n'est simplement plus notifiée par mail, ce qui lui fait supposer qu'elle n'en reçoit plus...

Là c'est plus comique, l'ancien manager de la nana qui gère le forum vient se plaindre gentiment du gros bordel qui pourrit la vie des blogueurs depuis quelques jours.

A part cela beaucoup se demandent aussi ce que veulent dire les jargonneurs quand ils parlent par exemple d'OpenID, entre autres choses limpides comme l'eau d'un torrent pyrénéen (Changes to features: G+ widget integrations, OpenID, and Localization & Blogspot ccTLDS.) :

sylvian coudène a dit : Effectivement, on reçoit un message concernant notre Open ID, sans doute important, mais quand on ne maîtrise pas la langue on s'expose à des difficultés.

Et même quand on la maîtrise un peu (j'ai la fatuité de le penser en ce qui me concerne) la langue ne sert pas à grand chose, à part coller des timbres-poste sur les nombreuses lettres de réclamation virtuelles qu'il va falloir envoyer à Google.

Ce serait effectivement un souci si tout le monde pouvait via cette « ouverture d'identité » lire jusque dans les pensées des gens !

Je termine avec cette fort civile personne qui dit bonjour et remercie tout le monde alors qu'elle n'aura probablement pas la réponse à ses légitimes questions avant longtemps (en tout cas je ne me vois pas lui fournir la moindre explication à ce sujet)

Et certain ont déjà trouvé des solutions de fortune, à défaut de mieux :

Liz Ackert To all who miss having email notifications of new comments, here's my work-around: I copied the link to the Comments section of my Blogger dashboard and added it to my browser toolbar (where I keep links to internet sites that I visit daily). I just click the Comments link periodically to respond to incoming comments (and tag spam of course). Not ideal, but it works for now.

Sarah Craig OK, folks, I think I've found a work-around that's really easy! After you write a post and publish it, click like you want to write a comment - you could even leave a simple "TEST" comment, then CLICK the NOTIFY ME of followup comments box. You should then start getting all the comments sent to your email box. And apparently, from something I read in the help forum, this is a temporary problem Blogger is trying to fix (but I'm not holding my breath...) Does anyone else wish they'd public a phone number so you could reach someone who works there?
